Wild Health Is Returning To APS On Friday, June 11

APS is partnering with Wild Health to make the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine available to all Anchorage School current and graduated students age 12 and older, their families, and school and City of Anchorage employees.

Wild Health will be on campus, in the school cafeteria, on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until noon to offer the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, which is administered as a shot in the arm as a series of two doses, approximately three weeks apart. There is no cost. Children receiving the vaccine must be accompanied by an adult.

Those receiving their first dose will need to follow-up at any other Pfizer vaccination clinic to receive their second dose.  It is not required that individuals receive their first and second dose from the same provider, so both first and second dose appointments are welcome to register for this clinic on June 11.

To register for the vaccination requires the following TWO steps:

  1. Register for an appointment at the Wild Health website.
  2. Download and complete the consent form found  HERE and bring the completed form with you to the clinic (only parents/guardians can give consent).  Even if you completed a consent form for the first dose clinic in May, you must complete a second consent form to bring with your child to the June 11 clinic.

Parking for the clinic will be in the back cafeteria/playground parking lot with entrance through the back cafeteria door.

During the appointment, individuals will also be receiving a Binax-NOW Rapid COVID-19 Test and a RT-PCR COVID-19 Test.  The COVID-19 testing will allow Wild Health to provide COVID-19 results to all individuals receiving the vaccine.  There is an option however to skip the testing and just receive the vaccination.  If you would like your child to receive the vaccine, but not the COVID-19 testing, please write “Do not COVID-19 test” across the top of the informed consent form that bring with your child to the clinic on June 11.
