Summer 2020: Learning Opportunities


Summer Bridge opportunities are offered so students can continue to exercise their minds during summer vacation – creating a bridge from the last day of the school year to the first day of the new year.

APS Summer Reading:  Required
Grade Level Titles & Assignments to be completed by the first day of school.
Grades listed reflect grade in school at the beginning of the 2020 – 2021 school year.

Stay Sharp:  Optional Opportunities
Access to these online platforms, which are used to support  instruction throughout the school year, are available this summer.
Grades listed reflect grade in school at the end of May 2020.

Enrichment activities are available to all students but Primary Talent Pool and Gifted & Talented students are highly encouraged to participate.  Plans will be posted throughout the summer below (June 1 – July 31.) Ms. Phillips ( and Ms. Turner ( are both available to respond to questions or concerns that may arise as these activities are accessed.

Summer Camps: Fee Required

Anchorage Public School is committed to adhering to public health guidelines, so most summer camps will be held virtually.  In the event health guidelines change and we can welcome campers to campus, the school community will be notified of the changes to our summer camp offerings.
